May 2024 - Working for the government is getting easier for SMEs, thanks to the new e-procurement platform and a federal charter.
All public procurement tailored to SMEs is collected on the revamped e-procurement platform. There, entrepreneurs now find what they are looking for even faster and easier. Participating in public procurement can be done in a simple and transparent way thanks to the renewed charter Access of SMEs to public procurement.

In addition, the government is launching a number of other SME-friendly measures:
· From now on, the public procurement award procedure will be fully digital, from finding to winning contracts. Electronic invoicing is also the norm.
· Do you not win the public contract, but you still have prototypes, models and the like made? Then you can claim reimbursement for the costs incurred. Do you win a contract? Then you can receive an advance payment.
· The government also promises more transparency and administrative simplification. For example, via the Telemarc tool, procurers will have direct access to your SME's necessary documents without you having to provide them yourself. In addition, you will no longer have to worry about placing a wrong signature. Thanks to future regularisation, you will no longer miss out on orders as a result. You will also have access to a provisional ranking of participants for some assignments. Finally, as an SME, you will get better follow-up and monitoring when you decide to participate in public contracts.
