"Federal Learning Account": online registration of training courses
January 2024 - Under the November 2022 labour deal, every full-time employee will be entitled to at least five training days a year from 2024. Before 2023, this amounted to four days.
At the same time, this law requires companies employing at least 20 workers to draw up a training plan once a calendar year. Enterprises employing between 10 and 20 employees only have to provide an average of one day of training per full-time employee per year, without having to draw up a training plan.
For each employee, an employer (in enterprises with at least 20 employees) must keep this individual training account in a personal file. The federal government wants to build on this by launching a uniform online application: the "Federal Learning Account" that replaces the individual training account. This new scheme will take effect on 1 April 2024.
Through the Federal Learning Account, it will be possible to request information on, among other things:
identity details of the employee
the employment regime
the number of training days to which the employee is entitled
the training days attended
the balance of training rights
characteristics of the training followed

During his career, an employee will be able to access this data through a website such as www.mycareer.be.
