Federal Learning Account (FLA): training registration no later than 30 November 2024
June 2024 - In a previous news item, we informed you about the launch of the Federal Learning Account (FLA), where, as part of the employment deal, you are required as an employer to record both formal and informal training within the employment relationship in this separate database.
Its purpose? To provide a detailed overview of all training undertaken by individual workers, including various characteristics such as description, duration, dates and status. This also includes the annual individual training entitlement that most workers enjoy by law or sector since 2023.
This platform was recently launched at www.federallearningaccount.be. Here you will find manuals, technical information and frequently asked questions.
Training must be registered by 30 November 2024 at the latest. You have a choice of three registration methods: via the website, using a BATCH channel for bulk data or via a REST API channel for integration with your own LMS application.
Yet many points remain unclear.
Although the FLA Act came into force on 1 April 2024 (with a beta version going ‘live’), the official launch is scheduled for 1 June 2024. As an employer, you must register all training since 1 January 2024 within a 6-month period, with 30 November 2024 as the deadline. Are you not doing this (on time)? Then the government will complete the missing data. Afterwards, the platform will have to be supplemented quarterly. So it is crucial that you keep track of all your training efforts.
